Come aboard the vessel “KEEPER” on the Connecticut River for our very popular Sunset Tree Swallow Cruise.
This exclusive, intimate cruise is for UP TO six people. There will be no else one onboard.
There is plenty of room on the bow for everyone. Tables and chairs will be set up to your liking.
Bring warm jackets/coats/hats for the cooler outdoor September weather!
Bring your own picnic style food and a cooler of your favorite beverage.
There is room for your camera equipment, including tripods. No worries about upsetting anyone’s space.
There will be binoculars on loan for your use during the cruise.
We will cruise south on the Connecticut River from Haddam approximately ten miles to our destination.
Although the main focus of this cruise is the Tree Swallow phenomenon, there is so much more we will see on our journey down river (and back).
You create the cruise you want. If you desire, we will look for, point out and tell you about local wildlife (Bald Eagles and lots more) and landmarks. Or you can ask questions along the way on on the things you want pointed out. Or we can say nothing. :-)
At our intended destination, we will position “KEEPER” in the best place possible to view the Tree Swallows (in late August, we may see Purple Martins and Barn Swallows mixed in the flock), wait and watch as they fly in and collect over the island, eventually quickly dropping or forming a tornado as they head into the reeds to sleep.
On our return back to Haddam, enjoy experiencing dusk into darkness.

Kids of any age are allowed on this private cruise, however we suggest age 8 and above due to the length of the cruise.
The cost of this 2.5+ to three hour (the length of the cruise is based on sunset and river conditions) is $560.
